To enhance the security of your online payments, Banque de Luxembourg enables you to link your card to your LuxTrust certificate. The link operates via your E-Banking area.
Since 1 January 2021, online transactions have been validated through the ‘LuxTrust Mobile’ authentication solution. The ‘LuxTrust Mobile’ authentication solution is the only way to validate online purchases through your smartphone.
Please note that to link a credit card to the ‘LuxTrust Mobile’ app, at least one of the account holders must have E-Banking (online banking) access1 – Soon the link will also be available in the BL Mobile Banking app.

Reminder of how to protect yourself against attempts of fraud
For your security and to protect your personal data, please be extra vigilant and alert to fraudsters:
- Do not reply to emails or text messages inviting you to click on a link
- Never give out your account number, credit card number, LuxTrust login details or other personal data
- Do not open messages from senders you do not recognise
- If you are in any doubt, contact Banque de Luxembourg at the usual number
We would remind you that Banque de Luxembourg or LuxTrust will never contact you directly through your personal email address, text message or by phone to ask you to connect to your secure website and/or to ask you for your confidential passwords associated with your accounts and bank cards.
